Our Approach to Therapy

We approach therapy as a collaboration. We want to know about your life and how things are going. That’s why we give parents the option to meet with the therapist once a month. During this meeting we can talk about progress, challenges, and upcoming changes. Is Tommy getting frustrated when asking for snacks? Let’s work on that. Has Susan refused to sit for a haircut? How can we help? Does Alex struggle to communicate the rules of a game with his peers? We can target that. Is Jill in soccer but struggling to produce the /k/ sound? Let’s adjust to work on that.

Therapy at the linked method is meant to be a mixture of targets that are important to your life and important for speech and language development.

Evaluations are important! They provide us with a clear picture of the types of challenges that your child is facing. The more information and data we have the better. This enables us to provide therapy for your whole child. Evaluations give us information on the following skills;
